Golden sand and magnificent sand dunes stretch across this vast but unspoilt treasure which is why it is a designated National Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Whether its somewhere for the children to play or a place for adults to relax and unwind, a visit to Harlech beach is the perfect trip to the seaside for the whole family.

Barmouth Beach

Just a short drive from Llandanwg, the well-loved Barmouth beach lies in all its glory. Expansive sands, water sports, and a bustling town, it’s no wonder people visit Barmouth time and time again. A slightly busier beach then Harlech, you might find yourself enjoying water sports, building sandcastles or taking donkey rides. But Barmouth’s coastline is more than large enough for all types of holidaymakers, meaning there’s ample room to avoid adrenaline racing activities and simply lie back and relax!

At low tide you can walk along the seafront from Harlech to Barmouth and soak up the seascape. As both beaches are on the Cardigan Coast, you will be perfectly placed to spot the Cardigan Bay dolphins on this idyllic seaside stroll. A perfect way to make the most of two beaches in one day.
